An Open Letter to Religious People

Dear religious people,

Stop it. It's annoying and creepy. I mean, love Jesus/Ahura Mazda/Jah Rastafari all you want, man, but you don't need to flaunt it. You look fake. You look like you're trying to convince yourself. It snowed today, thank you Allah? Tell that to the homeless. Nobody realized I farted in the lift just now, Jesus really shone his light on me today? Tell that to the guy they blamed it on. It IS up to you to believe that Jesus favored you, that's why your gaseous assassin wasn't pinned on you but come on, don't tell everyone you meet that! Stop trying to put God in every conversation. He's capable of doing that, thank you very much. This is taking thy Lord's name in vain, believe me.

Sincerely,
Johan Going-to-Hell Ariff.

i dont care what you think but i care about you.so what if they put god's name in daily conversation?if you put dirty words or start calling people 'bro' or 'dude', or any smarty-ass answers...as if that would make it any more 'real' or 'fake'.does it really annoy you?i get annoyed with rude insensitive remarks/dirty words, but people who frequently spout them are not necessarily willing to change anything just because i say so.
or are we just trying to make a conversation/getting attention with controversial remarks i.e. trolling ...well i guess sometimes we are.i bet the whole point of the blog thing is to get attention.and im just playing along..hehe just coz i got the free time bro.peace

Haha, actually it does. It annoys me. It annoys the hell out of me. I am okay with people being religious and spouting religious words of wisdom once in a while but some people just want to shove their beliefs, without regards for mine, down my throat.

If these people are really pious, they would realize that it's wrong to do that. Hence, they aren't really pious, just trying to show people that they are. See: Fake.

Truly religious people are abundant, contrary to popular belief. It's just that they don't promote their faith as much as the fakes.

It is my own personal opinion that self-righteous, small-minded, self-proclaimed 'religious' people should all go to hell just on principle.

The whole point of blogging, at least for me, is expressing what you feel when you're too polite or too ball-less to say it in real life.

I mean, if I can't be honest and shout what I want on my own private virtual space; if I just post politically-correct things that doesn't mean anything to me and are just nice things to hear/read, I might as well stop writing and post random pictures. Haha.

Yeah, something like that. Instead of paying a psychiatrist hundreds of dollars, this therapy is free.

I used to have this kind of ideas you know about these so called religious people. I hated them. But i've met some who really do put God in their conversations, do good and who are actually nice people, and not the types you called as fakes.

So i stopped being judgemental. God knows best what's in their heart. As much as i don't like them, i just let them be what they want to.

Being judgmental is part of who I am, haha. Judge not lest ye be judged? I mean He's gonna judge me anyway, so might as well follow the maxim like Father like son, eh?
