Let's Do It

Let's Do It [Let's Fall In Love]

But that’s why birds do it,
Bees do it,
Even educated fleas do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

In Spain the best upper sets do it,
Lithuanians and Letts do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

The Dutch in old Amsterdam do it,
Not to mention the Finns,
Folks in Siam do it,
Think of Siamese twins.

Some Argentines without means do it,
People say in Boston even beans do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

Romantic sponges they say do it,
Oysters down in Oyster Bay do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

Cold Cape Cod clams ‘gainst their wish do it,
Even lazy jellyfish do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

Electric eels, I might add, do it,
Though it shocks ‘em I know,
Why ask if shads do it,
Waiter bring me shad roe.

In shallow shoals English soles do it,
Goldfish in the privacy of bowls do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

The dragonflies in the reeds do it,
Sentimental centipedes do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

Mosquitoes, heaven forbid, do it,
So does every katydid do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

The most refined ladybugs do it,
When a gentleman calls,
Moths in your rugs do it,
What’s the use of moth balls?

Locusts in trees do it,
Bees do it,
Even overeducated fleas do it,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.

Let’s do it, let’s fall in love,
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's gray and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love

Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate...

I don't care if Mondays black
Tuesday, Wednesday - heart attack
Thursday, never looking back
It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday, you can hold your head
Tuesday, Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday - watch the walls instead
It's Friday, I'm in love

Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate...

Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise

Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a sheik
Spinning round and round

Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night

You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's Friday, I'm in love

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's gray and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love

Cabin Fever

Day #3 of staying alone in this apartment:

All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.

That is all.

Homophobia

I get why you don't agree with homosexuality. I really do. You think it's against God's Laws, it's unnatural, it turns you on even though you're straight: WHATEVER.

But why must you hate gays, though?

I don't agree with your views.

I don't agree with your actions.

I don't agree with your sense of style.

Do I have to hate you then?

Labels

Let's face it.

We label people. Yes, even you, the snooty one who says, labeling is wrong! You label labelers as close-minded bigots, more often than not.

I understand why people need to label. It's comforting when you can categorize people in certain definitions because one feels like one can predict the reactions of said people. Girls cry. Boys play sport. Girl likes boys and boys like girls. The universe is in order.

Like so many great people before me said, we are afraid of things we do not understand. And what's more difficult to understand than people who act beyond our comprehension on how the world works, beyond our expectation?

Why does this man love another man?

How does this race of lazy bastards stay in power for so long?

How does a person with mediocre voice, singing meaningless pop songs that he doesn't even write, becomes so famous?

And what's a more appropriate thing to do than hating the things we're afraid of, things we don't understand?

And let's be honest. We label ourselves. I label myself as an out-of-the-box thinker. A writer. A person who appreciates art. An ok-looking guy who mind-bogglingly has/had a number of admirers, both men and women. A procrastinator. An open-minded person. The list goes on and on.

I do hate it when people label me, though. Especially when they say, "I know you." or "Of course, you'd do that." I hate it. When people say that, I go out of my way to do something outside of their expectation. Then, their perception of me will be shattered. I do so love to fuck people's minds up.

I guess we hate people labeling us because it limits who we are in their eyes and we believe that we're so much more than that. But then, we label ourselves, too. We limit ourselves to these labels.

And if you take away these labels, you're labeling yourself as a person unlabeled, undefined.

That's just another label, now, innit?

Conclusion: This post wants you to think but provides no answer.

Disclaimer: This post is full of sarcasm and satires. So, please think before you post though I doubt you'd do that.
